Back-to-base monitoring allows us to watch over your premises when you can’t be there yourself. We do this by connecting your Security System to a 24 hour Monitoring Control Room using your preferred line type.
If your security system is triggered an emergency pulse is automatically sent to the Monitoring Control Room. Professionally trained security staff will attempt to contact you within moments of the alarm triggering. If required they will send out a security officer to your premises and if deemed necessary the emergency services will also be contact on your behalf.
Alarmzone has a close affiliation with one of Sydney’s leading Monitoring Companies. This allows us to provide you with a 24/7 Premium Monitoring service at a great price.
LINE TYPES
Dialer
Dialer lines allow one-way communication from your Security System’s panel to the Monitoring Control Room. Dialer lines might be very cheap but they are also the most susceptible to failure (cut phone line etc). In the event of an interrupted line it may take the Monitoring Control Room anywhere from 24 hours to 7 days to identify the problem.
Domestic back-to-base monitoring from $6.60 per week inc. GST, and commercial premises from $8.80 per week inc. GST.
Securitel
Securitel is the next level of communication after a dialer line. It is a poled system (i.e. sends a signal down the line approximately every 27 seconds). That allows two-way communication. The polling feature allows the Monitoring Control Room to be notified within moments if the phone line is cut. The Securitel lines use special cable designed by Telstra and are not available in all areas.
GSM
GSM is mainly used as a redundancy communication path because it uses the mobile phone network as its communication path. It is very difficult to disable which is why it is often used in conjunction with a dialer line as a back up. The GSM line can identify a cut in the dialer line and will send a signal via the mobile phone network notifying the Monitoring Control Room of the fault.
GPRS
GPRS lines are constantly polled every 90 seconds. These lines allow two-way communication.
